When I first started using retinol, I knew I needed a moisturiser that gives more than just lightweight hydration. I had just finished my Soon Jung cream and thought it was the perfect time to try something new, especially since I was already impressed with COSRX’s snail mucin line.
I wanted something that would soothe, calm, and help repair my skin, like on nights when it felt a little more vulnerable.
Since I already loved the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, trying the Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream felt like a natural next step. For just over a month, this cream became my go-to night-time moisturiser, and for a while, it delivered exactly what I was looking for.
But as with many things post-baby, my skin has changed. What once felt like a soothing layer of protection started causing a mild stinging sensation. It was a small but noticeable change, and one that reminded me just how much my skin has evolved postpartum.
Still, I want to give this cream the praise it deserves, because in the right season of skin, it’s a brilliant product.
It’s stocked at YesStyle and Stylevana UK if you’re in the mood to browse.
Packaging & First Impressions
The COSRX Advanced Snail 92 Cream comes in two types of packaging: a standard tub and a tube version. I’ve tried both, and while the tub is lightweight and travel-friendly, I personally prefer the tube just because it’s more convenient and feels a bit more hygienic, especially for daily use.
It has a white creamy texture, definitely thicker and stickier than the Snail Mucin Essence, with that familiar stretchy consistency COSRX snail products are known for. At first touch, it feels a little heavy, but once smoothed over the skin, it settles in beautifully. I found that waiting about 2–3 minutes before layering anything else helped reduce that initial tacky feeling.

Ingredients Breakdown
This cream is powered by 92% snail mucin filtrate, a key ingredient known for its ability to hydrate, calm, and repair the skin barrier. Snail mucin contains glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid, and zinc—all of which help improve skin elasticity, reduce redness, and support healing.
It also includes allantoin and panthenol, two skin-soothing ingredients that help reduce irritation and keep moisture locked in.
This combination makes it ideal for dry, dehydrated, or sensitive skin types, particularly when your skin needs extra love.

What does COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream do?
This cream delivers deep hydration, calms irritation, and helps support the skin’s natural barrier function. It’s especially helpful when your skin is feeling dry, flaky, or irritated—like after using retinol or experiencing barrier damage. I used it in the evenings as the final step in my routine to seal everything in, and it truly felt like a drink of water for my skin. My skin looked plumper, felt more resilient, and stayed comfortably hydrated through the night.
Is COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream good for dry skin?
Absolutely. This cream is rich in hydrating and reparative ingredients that work beautifully for dry or dehydrated skin. It has an occlusive-like finish, which helps trap moisture and prevent water loss, especially overnight. During my retinol nights, it was exactly what my skin needed to stay balanced and calm.
Can I use COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream every day?
Yes, this cream is designed to be used daily. I used it every night for over a month without any issues—until my postpartum skin became more reactive. It didn’t cause breakouts, but I did notice a mild stinging sensation after applying it, which I hadn’t experienced before pregnancy. So while it’s safe for daily use, it’s always worth listening to your skin, especially if it’s going through hormonal changes or healing.
Does snail mucin cause breakouts or irritation?
Snail mucin is generally very well tolerated, and it didn’t cause any breakouts or irritation for me during pre-pregnancy use. It’s actually known for being gentle and soothing, even for sensitive or acne-prone skin. However, postpartum, my skin started reacting differently, which just goes to show how much hormonal changes can shift your skin’s needs. The product itself hasn’t changed, my skin just isn’t in the right place for it right now.

My Experience
This cream was exactly what I needed when I was first adjusting to retinol. It soothed any irritation, prevented dryness, and left my skin looking plump and refreshed by morning. It was the product I reached for when my skin felt slightly stressed or in need of a moisture boost.
After giving birth though, my skin became more reactive. I started to notice a mild stinging sensation a few minutes after applying the cream, something I’d never felt before. It was hard to ignore. It didn’t cause breakouts or visible irritation, but the feeling was enough for me to pause and reflect.
It made me realise how much my skin has changed postpartum. And while I’m a little sad to part ways with this moisturiser for now, I still think it’s an excellent product for the right skin type.
If you have dry, dehydrated, or sensitive skin, this cream could be a great addition to your evening routine, especially if you use retinol or exfoliants and need something to calm and protect your barrier. It’s also suitable for acne-prone skin, provided you patch test first and your skin tolerates snail mucin well.
The COSRX Advanced Snail 92 Cream is one of the best barrier-supporting moisturisers I’ve used—at least before my skin changed postpartum. It hydrates deeply, calms irritation, and layers beautifully over actives like retinol.
While I won’t be repurchasing it right now, that’s only because my skin’s in a different season. For the right skin type, this could easily be your new holy grail moisturiser.
