Earlier this week, I talked about summer skincare routine and I included this product as my my go-to moisturiser. Today, I’ll tell you exactly why this earned a special spot on my stash.
It’s just there’s something comforting about finding a moisturiser that just works, you know? No irritation, no heavy feeling, no clogged pores.
That’s exactly what I was hoping for when I picked up the Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream, a lightweight gel moisturiser formulated to hydrate and support the skin barrier.
At the time, I was searching for something simple I could use during the day, especially on busy workdays when I didn’t have the energy (or time) for anything fussy. Mind you, I have a 10-month-old at the time (plus a hectic work schedule), so I needed a moisturiser that could keep up with my life—not complicate it.
I wanted something hydrating, barrier-friendly, lightweight, and easy to stick with daily. I’d just started focusing on repairing my skin barrier when I introduced the Purito Mighty Bamboo Cream into my routine, and even though it wasn’t quite as rich as my go-to Soon Jung Cream, it still helped hydrate and calm my skin in a really gentle way.
Here’s how this moisturiser held up over a month of daily use—and why I’m already planning to bring it back into my summer skincare rotation.
Packaging & First Impressions
I read that Purito recently had packaging rebranding. Honestly, their new packaging aesthetic really does it for me—clean, minimal, and functional.
The Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream comes in a soft tube that’s easy to travel with and even easier to use. The texture is what won me over most: it’s a water-gel cream that glides on like a dream and sinks in fast.
No stickiness, no greasiness, just that soft, fresh feeling you want on warm days or under your makeup.

Key Ingredients Breakdown
Before I fell for how this cream feels on my skin, I took a peek at the ingredients, and it made even more sense why it worked so well.
Here’s a little breakdown of the main ones:
Damyang Bamboo Extract
This comes from the peaceful forests of Damyang and is full of amino acids and minerals that help the skin stay hydrated and healthy. It’s not just about moisture, though, it also helps protect your skin from daily stress and keeps your barrier feeling stronger. I love that it feels really clean and fresh, not heavy at all.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5)
One of my go-to ingredients for skin that needs a bit of TLC. Panthenol pulls moisture into the skin and helps hold onto it, which keeps everything soft, calm, and happy. I noticed that after using this cream, my skin didn’t just feel hydrated, it felt comforted, like it had a little extra hug.
Squalane
Squalane is one of those ingredients that just quietly does its job so well. It helps lock in moisture without making your skin feel greasy or heavy. I really appreciated this on busy mornings when I needed something quick, light, and effective before running out the door.
Honestly, when you put all of these ingredients together, it explains why this cream feels like such a steady, gentle step in my routine.

What does Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream do?
This cream is formulated for ultra-sensitive skin and designed to hydrate, soothe, and support your skin barrier with the help of bamboo water and panthenol.
When I started using this, I was focusing on barrier repair, and while it wasn’t as rich or deeply soothing as my Soon Jung cream, it still gave my skin a noticeable hydration boost.
How to use Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream?
I use this mostly during my daytime routine, especially on workdays when I need something light under sunscreen. I’d apply it after my serum step (sometimes using another Purito serum) and before SPF. It layers really well, so it fits nicely into a minimal or full routine. I also think it fits perfectly on your summer skincare routine!
I recommend that if you’re using actives or dealing with irritation, you might want to pair it with a richer barrier cream in the evenings, but for daytime hydration, this does the job beautifully.
Does Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream clog pores?
Not in my experience. One of my skin concerns is clogged pores and recently postpartum, so my skin has been extra sensitive and reactive, but this cream didn’t cause any breakouts or congestion.
It has a lightweight gel texture that sinks in quickly and doesn’t feel greasy or heavy. I’d even feel comfortable recommending it for oily or combo skin types because it gives hydration without blocking pores.
My Experience
For over a month, this is my go-to daytime moisturiser, and I really love how calm and hydrated my skin feels each time I use it. The lightweight gel texture was a perfect match for my sensitive, slightly dry postpartum skin, especially on busy work mornings.

I appreciate how the bamboo water in the formula gives my skin a soft, refreshing feel, it’s known to be rich in antioxidants and minerals that help maintain skin moisture and resilience, and I genuinely feel that balance in my complexion.
On days when my skin felt a little tight or irritated, the panthenol helped soothe and soften things without overwhelming my then compromised barrier.
Even though it’s not as deeply nourishing as my Etude Soon Jung Intensive cream, it still gave me that hydrated, healthy skin look—and it did so without causing any breakouts, irritation, or clogged pores.
I paused using it for about a week because I needed something more intensive while actively repairing my barrier, but now that my skin’s back to a better place, I’m happy to report that this is back on my morning routine!
This moisturiser would work beautifully for all skin types, especially sensitive and acne-prone. This is specially formulated for us, guys!
If you’re oily or combo, you’ll love the weightless feel. If you’re dry (like I am now), you might still appreciate it during the warmer months, or as a layering step under a richer cream.
It’s especially ideal for those rebuilding their skin barrier or looking for an airy, non-irritating moisturiser.
I would absolutely repurchase this. I’m already eyeing it for summer because it gives me that rare “my skin can breathe” feeling without skimping on hydration. Purito’s rebranding is clearly working—they’re making products that feel thoughtful and effective, and I’m here for it.
